Rima old thingy, Going slightly beyond Richard's perfectly sensible point - the one local area where (I'd have thought) there was a widespread anti-wheelie consensus was/is the pretty Glebe Estate with its tiny front gardens. And what have they got? They've got wheelie bins!! Which doesn't say a lot for the millions of your wasted words on this forum! Can I suggest (again) that warbling away on a local forum is about as effective a strategy as painting slogans on the flowery wallpaper of the downstairs loo... What the Glebe Estate campaign needed was a few little old ladies knocking on doors and organising every dissenting adult to wheel their unwanted wheelie bin (on the day it was delivered) to one designated corner of a nearby pavement. Leaving Hounslow Council with the problem of what to do with a massive pile of unwanted wheelies. A bit of simple, perfectly legal, sensibly active social disobedience - - Go on girl! To hell with posting waffle! Put the gloves on! Get out there and punch hard! |
