Unfortunately a lot of people don't use the food waste bins and even put them in black sacks! Food waste is important because not only does it supply much needed organic agricultural grade compost but the gases given off are captured through anaerobic digestion and converted to electricity for the National Grid for which the councils receive ROCs ( money ). But the councils are supplying wheelie bins for it instead! Which way are we going with all this? What's the problem with no bins and addressed sacks for scanning? |
