| Ah, but the private sector's profit-making tendencies are reigned in by competition, so the Virgin/Stagecoach run East Coast competes with the West Coast (Virgin/Stagecoach run) as well as East Midlands Trains (Stagecoach run). That'll keep them honest. Meanwhile here in Chiswick you have a choice of South West Trains (Stagecoach) or Stagecoach-operated South West Trains. Isn't privatisation grand? |
