I can't be bothered with putting anything in the drawer - it is such a pain to pull out and clean - to many grazed knuckles. So now only put liquid in a container in the drum. I've given up on fabric softener - which shouldn't be used for towels anyway as it stops them doing their of of drying. I do use Calgon fairly often and have to carefully plan in hot washes every so often. I believe that the hoses should be cleaned (and checked) more often but it is too difficult to move the machine. You don't need as much detergent as the container says - so don't panic if you forget to put it in once in a while - it won't matter. The machine will deal with the situation better than you do! :) |
