| So landlords are going to be responsible for evicting illegal immigrants, coach and lorry drivers are fined as are their employers if illegals manage to get through in/on/under their vehicles. So what exactly is the government doing? Ah! That's right stopping the paltry £36 benefit they might get! This is a humanitarian problem, if people really do not have a right to stay why oh why do we have this ridiculously convoluted system of appeals that takes years and years? This whole issue has to have a EU wide approach, and these poor people many of whom are young kids have to be properly processed not left to rot in that shanty town. There is potential for this country to allow many to come here and join families and finish their education and be an asset to this country. It will need Georgie (trust fund) Osborne to loosen the purse strings and invest some much needed dough in our NHS, housing and schools, but we need that anyway, speculate to accumulate.
