| I've never had reason to look into it in any depth, but the fact so many people are so desperate to get to the UK makes me wonder whether the UK really does offer the advantages to migrants that they perceive it does, compared to other countries ?. I thought (again not something I've studied in any depth) that the Government had changed the benefits systems etc. to make the UK less attractive ?. Of course I guess many migrants who make it into the UK go under the radar, but again is being under the radar in the UK any better than being under the radar in Germany or such like ?. |
