I agree that constant meetings of COBRA don't seem to make much progress in sorting this problem out. It all seems too little too late, and the EU really have to step up to the plate and try and absorb some of these people into their countries. A lot of them are well educated and want to work and have the advantage of speaking English. Our problem is that our infrastructure is creaking already so to accept a big influx would cause problems, but that is hardly the fault of the poor sods in Calais, that is the fault of the very twerps now wringing their hands and sitting in meetings. |
