"angling is a totally different thing " How come? As far as I can see, they both involve the deliberate hunting, harming, and ultimately killing of an defenceless and innocent animal, for pleasure. In both cases the animal suffers considerable pain and (some would say) torture before eventually dying. One is done with a gun (or perhaps a bow and arrow), the other with a sharp metal hook. But in principle, I simply cannot see why they are "totally different". So are you saying it's because there are lots of fish and not so many lions? You seem to be saying that with your point about extinction (are lions going extinct?). Of course I understand the issues around extinction (e.g. with the white rhino), I'm not stupid. But it's not what we're talking about here is it? Or is it? |
