The death of the Labour Party will necessarily facilitate a realignment on the progressive wing of politics.  The bulk of the leadership will probably drift to the Tories and a significant chunk of the grassroots will hopefully join with others currently outside of the party.

Those "progressives" in the party who find it physically and emotionally impossible to disengage from the corpse will hopefully do us all a favour and jump off a bridge somewhere.
