What tends to happen is that people try to use their laptop on their laps, blocking the vents. If they get too hot the chips can desolder themselves and the printed tracks can fail. The multi-layer circuit may be damaged beyond repair. although it may be possible to re-heat or replace the solder using the correct re-work tools It may be possible to replace the main board if the original is beyond repair. |
