Hello Joy, I haven't been along there to see exactly where this is, but am guessing it is the usual location that seems to suffer regularly with bursts. Don't ask me why though. I'm afraid I am the last person you should ask your question of as until retirement last year I was for over 40 years an HSE manager. I would therefore think that as said before, protection of the workforce is the foremost reason plus possibly a need for room to safely handle plant equipment and materials. Much of what can be seen as overkill is these days governed by the current litigious climate and the fear of such by employing companies or organisations including (especially) LAs. Please note the word especially, is my view having been a contractor employee some years ago. |
