One cannot object to everyone adopting a more environmentally friendly lifestyle. The profusion of bicycles is a valid as well as ethically sound method of transport. This being said am I alone in noticing an epidemic of impatience peddling its way through Chiswick life? Have you had persistent ringing in your ears and noticed that you are not suffering from tinnitus but have the red faced attention from someone who has contracted ‘bicycle rage’ on the pavements and tow paths ? My girlfriend had such an encounter recently with a man on a bicycle. His expletives were accompanied by hot air; the former redefined the use of the English language, the latter could have created turbulence for approaching aircraft. My girlfriend who was strolling along the pavement, not a cycle lane, was subjected to a tirade of abuse from a very irritated cyclist. She was on her own and felt intimidated and threatened by the peddling pillock. I was just wondering if anyone else indulging in a bit of innocent bipedalism has had a similar brief encounter ? Please note that the majority of cyclists are not as inconsiderate as the vicious velocipedist mentioned above.
