Residents of Duke Road have been informed by letter from Hounslow Highways that the road will be closed from Monday 6 July for resurfacing. This will take 17 days (!) as they are going to do a deep excavation and reconstruction of the road foundation and surface. Hounslow Highways have told me that they intend to carry out this work in sections in order to avoid having to close the whole road for the duration. But we have had no details yet of which sections will be done when, and they haven't even put up any warning signs.
If I get any further information, I'll post it here. The works affect the whole of Duke Road except for the cul-de-sac section from Fraser Street to the schools. |
