| The Savills report is really informative, especially as it puts the lie to the commentary that all the housing problems are due to BTL'ers. Unless you have a job to go to in one of the growing business areas e.g. Bristol and Cheltenham (I'm assuming 'up North' is not an option!!), and will have plenty of equity, you may have already missed the boat. We recently bought a house in Bath, and agents are accepting cash only buyers. We paid 15% above the guide price in a sealed bid with 13 other bidders, all of whom were within £5,000. |
