Things are hotting up on the planning front with many applications being made to develop low level buildings into much higher residential flats and houses. The fight about the development of Empire House and in particular the areas behind which are (currently for car parking) to be developed into 8, 7 and 5 storey buildings for high end housing and the 'possibility' of some affordable housing, goes on. One of the reasons for the continuing fight is that this planning application sets the precedence for the future.
There is an urgent public meeting at Christ Church, Acton Green, 7.30pm on the 9th July.
Donations toward the fighting fund for Judicial Review are being sought and they can be made to: www.crowdjustice.co.uk/case/future-of-chiswick.
