In a busy pub restaurant the other night I failed. I fancied a burger but they all came with chips and fried onion rings. I ordered a side salad too but didn't stress that I would like the salad instead of the fried food. I didn't do the ordering or I might have done that. I ate the burger and half of the bun, the disappointing side salad and a very few sweet potato chips. I didn't want to take the cold fried chips and onion ring home but that wasn't offered to me anyway. How often do we eat more than we really want to or waste food in restaurants because the portions are too big? Are you good at asking to take the remains of your meal home? Or asking that part of the meal (eg chips) is not served to you so that you do not waste it? |
