may i ask then, how has such an experience changed the way you live? The reason I ask is that I do feel that our phobia of death as a society is at the hub of the way we live and relate to one another. Many cultures honour death and respect it. It is even prepared for in many ways but our society shuns it and hopes that it might not happen. I can't help feel this avoidance is unhealthy. It's also great to discuss with people without being labelled morbid :) a sure sign of a society that wants to avoid reality i think. |
