Read that too on the way home. It is true that if you are timid and hug the kerb you are more likely to have a vehicle encroach closer to your space. If you are balls to the wall and take a primary position, especially in the city where you will keep up with the flow of traffic you have less chance of being clipped. Bit of a nothing article for me as its not really anything new. Am not suggesting for a second that inexperience riders should fling themselves out into the centre lane but there is less chance of conflict purely from a visibility point of view. |
