| Based on my experiences yesterday, Ealing Council has a new policy for resident's parking permits: 1. Switch to online parking permits (no paper discs) 2. Make the change in April without telling anyone 3. Don't send out reminders for existing permit holders 4. Wait until existing permits have expired 5. Issue residents with parking tickets (£30 each) and then, to rub salt in the wound after the tickets have been issued... 6. Send them us a letter to explain 1-3 Uff. Anyhow, if you are in the Ealing bit of Chiswick and you have a resident's permit you need to remind yourself to renew online. To misquote PG Wodehouse, it's always easy to tell the difference between Ealing Council and a ray of sunshine. |
