The only problem with that Jonathon is that most of these accidents involve lorries.Usually multi-wheeled, rigid bodied tipper trucks. These are mainly used by the construction industry, and there really isn't an alternative to these trucks.Perhaps something as simple as a sign fitted to every set of traffic lights reminding drivers of these trucks to check their nearside mirrors before moving off, and also reminding cyclists not to stop alongside lorries may help.If these were on every set of traffic lights, seeing them so often, might make it second nature to obey the instructions. |
