Back to the beginning with the bins. Recycling has to be improved to meet EU requirements or pay massive fines. So how is it to be done? What alternative is there to bins? How many of us would prefer to have clear addressed sacks for scanning, including flat numbers and if containing recyclables we pay, making us all responsible for our own rubbish? No bins involved, recycling vastly improved and with food in food waste bins ( or pay ) no foxes either. The "red route" would not be excluded. Does anyone have any objections to this? Does anyone have any better suggestions? Be sensible! Can we come up with something positive instead of a lot of negativity? Otherwise I envisage a mass protest with bins and sacks arriving on Acton Green and no positive outcome. |
