I guess it dawned on the high-ups at the Beeb that without Clarkson they would lose a programme that made them a lot of money in export sales. If the new version with Chris Evans manages to raise even half of the sales that the Clarkson version did I will be surprised. As the thread on this forum has shown, Evans is a major turn-off for many people. About the only person I could think of who would have been a worse choice is Piers Morgan. |
