Long ago before there was any plastic there were metal dustbins and the contents were emptied into lorries making a great deal of noise when they and the lids were thrown back. The bins became very battered and rusty and were permanently surrounded by flies. In these enlightened times when we have recycling targets to meet if clear addressed sacks are supplied for scanning and if containing recyclables we pay there will be very little to put in a bin. There have been nappy recycling trials going on for years with end products being crash helmets and roof tiles! Better still is smart, fitted washable nappies for the washing machine as supplied by Green Baby and others. Councils which have been trialing supply containers for Disposables. |
