beg to intrude... but during today's and this week's ongoing (and incredibly dull) spat (see Ramadan thread) some confusion has arisen concerning who IS and who is NOT a doris. With convicted Dorises now introducing the word “we” and the word “misogynist” to their so-called “debate” in order to wrongly imply that forum ladies in general are all being tarred with the same brush. Now then :- And far be it for me to say (the brilliant Doris epithet being the memorable creation of my dear chum Bob) I was always led to believe that the term doris (meaning an overtly opinionated, man-hating, dog obsessed, boring as turpentine lady-bully) was originally intended to be strictly applied to just two aggressively nasty persons here on W4.com – Pope Doris AKA Mogadon and the pope's intellectual superior but second-in-command Lorry O'Doris. (Although, to be strictly fair, I'd care to add that Lorry, who is often a bombastic harridan - is also pretty completely harmless....Unlike the other one....) Anyway I trust that now clears matters up...... Beyond Ramadan, a word about the FGM thread... May it please be noted that just because me (and many others I presume) refuse to add our anti-FGM words to such a dipstick, sod-obvious, boring as filleted lumpfish, one-way thread (posing as a “debate”) this does not mean that such folk (me very much included) are thus/ergo pro FGM. Only an out-and-out, true-blue doris would ever think thus... :) |
