Every year Hounslow trumpet the fact that there has been no increase in council tax, or that it has been cut by a few pence, that nobody notices anyway.I'm sure a lot of people would rather pay a bit more in council tax each year and know that the local facilities are safe and not in danger of being shut down.A lot of the old peoples centres have already been closed, and I expect the remaining centres are being looked at very closely.I for one would be more than happy to pay a bit more and keep the facilities we have left.Including the adult education classes at Chiswick school.Has the council ever asked the people of Hounslow what they think ? |
