My personal views on why the class should not be closed: 1. It provides a excellent opportunity for older people to have a chance to learn new things at older age which they might not be able to do when they were young like myself. 2. My concillor and GP have advised me to learn new things and pursue activities which I can continue doing to keep myself active and to generate income to supplement my pension when required. 3. I am a dementia carer for my husband who has dementia and stroke 18 months ago who needs full time care and it is an excellent opportunity for me a have a break for a couple of hours from him as I find Ceramic class is very calming and it relaxes me and to forget about the care for a while which helps to regenerate my energy and ready to go home to look after my husband again. Caring for a dementia person is not an easy job as you never know what move is the person in all the times. To be honest I am so glad to be able to do this course and can't wait to continue doing it to improve my skill to work on Ceramic. Rose |
