| Since they are sending 150,000 tonnes pa of residual to landfill in Lincolnshire we definitely need to up the recycling! I was invited once to do a tour of Brentford Waste Transfer Station but I couldn't face it. I've never had any missed collections but when they first took over the contract it was mayhem and I reported containers being thrown over the fence or not returned at all. They received massive fines of over £47,000 in the first three months and after that it was sorted out but I believe the present problems with replacing containers is also Sitas responsibility. However if I've contacted them directly they've been pleasant and helpful. It looks as if I'll be adding to my neighbours green box again this week. |
