| Unfortunately 3 men broke into our house and started to look around last night at 4.20am but our lovely dog Molly scared them off without them getting anything. We have CCTV footage ourselves but the police (who were brilliant in the early hours) have asked that if any other residents of Chesterfield Rd have CCTV cameras, they please check in case a clearer image of the culprits can be attained. It's 3 males wearing grey hoodies and gloves and one is carrying what looks like a pale coloured bag (presumably to store the loot!). There was some forensic evidence left behind so we're keeping our fingers crossed that they can be caught (although it's unlikely). Incidentally, they weren't put off by the security lights or alarm box and they got in through a closed window in seconds by using some tool to break the hinges. There is minimal damage on the outside but the hinges being broken meant it was very easy to then swing the window open. Our poor Molly has been nervously barking at everything today but we're so proud of her - extra goodies with dinner planned for her! |
