Please volunteer with a local homeless shelter! There are many that you could help. Providing a hot meal is the tip of the iceberg. Many homeless men and women have addictions and/or mental illness and need serious intervention and assistance. Some travelled to the UK seeking better fortunes, have fallen on hard times with no way to afford a ticket home.... some people have simply lost their jobs, sofa surfed until the welcome ran out and are now on the street. There are so many reasons for homelessness. If you see a homeless person and want to help them, please refer them to a local shelter and/or contact No Second Night Out - YOU can do this, they don't have to.
