| Thanks Loraine - you triggered me to have a look at the Ealing web site and discovered to my horror that not only have the Buddhists been getting a 96% parking discount (cw business permit) they have been contravening the terms of the permits (if Pat Smith's posting is correct) I quote: A cover letter on headed stationary also needs to accompany the application or renewal form. The letter needs to confirm the following information: o The General Secretary’s signature. o Confirmation by the General Secretary that the permits will only be used by worshippers who are attending a religious service. o Confirmation by the General Secretary that the permits will be returned to the religious establishment at the end of the service. From what I gathered from Pat's posting the permits were being used by folks doing admin, preparing meals etc The plot thickens. |
