Among our 38 stalls (see the complete list here: http://www.kewvillagemarket.org/stalls-this-month/) we’re delighted to welcome a good handful of newcomers:  Fair Dinkum Fare will be selling their own home-made chilli sauces  and Our Bread a range of Hungarian baked treats; there’ll be craft beer from local brewer David Scott at Kew Brewery and The Coach and Horses are coming from Kew Green to fire up their famous barbecue. And Jane Faulkner Arts & Crafts will be offering original artworks and framed prints of her flower paintings.

Also we’ll be handing out £1,700 in cheques to local charities – all with a youthful theme this month: The Rotary Club will again receive a donation (of £500) towards buying dictionaries for all year 5 Kew schoolchildren; Friends of Strathmore School for pupils with special needs get £600 towards sensory educational equipment; and we’re giving another £600 to Off the Record to fund confidential counselling sessions for young people.

The weather’s looking good for the weekend so the market’ll be a great place to meet up with friends and hang out for lunch and listen to the band – this month those great local favourites The Elastic Band.

Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday 7th June from 10am to 2pm!

PS:     Our friends at The Good Wine Shop tell us they’re holding a free wine tasting on Sunday (from 12 noon to 6pm) so once you’ve visited the market why not drop in for a drop or two? Call 020 8940 4482 or email kew@thegoodwineshop.co.uk to confirm your place.

PPS:   And if it’s not already on your calendar, highlight Saturday 20th June  to make for the Green and Kew Midsummer Fete. This year it’ll be bigger and better than ever with  a festival atmosphere from 11am to 6pm with all-day entertainment, over 100 stalls, the Victorian fairground. the dog show, the tug of war and so much more. Visit www.kewfete.org for all the details.
