I can just imagine the noise Andy over weeks for this type of work and would drive me around the bend. As to planning permission on basements as far as i am aware very little is needed and almost all are granted unless your creating a separate entrance but maybe the guidelines have changed over the years and others will know more about it. If the extension is part of the natural lighting and entrance then i would say it depends all on the extension being given approval. If its out the rear of the property it maybe easier to be granted full planning rather than at the front but i am no expert on this. planningportal.gov.uk http://www.loftsandbasements.co.uk/getting-planning-permission-for-basement-use.html Converting basements or cellars is a lot easier to get planning permission for than an extension to your property. In most cases you will need no planning permission, but you should always check with your local council first. The last thing you want is to have to take your conversion down because you have not gained planning permission. |
