As a general rule of thumb for high end watches like TAG's etc., especially the waterproof ones it is always, always, always better to send them back to the manufacturers for battery replacement and servicing. Without question it'll cost you a bit more, but a) the manufacturers are highly unlikely to screw it up b) if they do they'll replace/make good and c) they know what they're doing, and will have the correct parts and tools. If you're willing to spend hundreds, if not thousands then why scrimp on the cost of the battery replacement & service & risk the watch? |
