On the same day that the BBC reports that Jewish mothers in North London are not allowed to drive their children to school - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-32935767 the Metro reports (page 5) a mother in Greater Manchester saying that "there are three schools in our catchment area and two of those require you to be baptised. It doesn't matter what religion you are, but they do require you to be baptised". As far as I am concerned schools who put out such requirements should receive nothing in state funding, and should preferably be prosecuted for encouraging religious apartheid among school children. |
