| TfL tell me that they have already investigated the feasibility of installing a temporary bus stop for the duration of the works but unfortunately, due to parking restrictions on Chiswick High Road, there is no suitable safe place to locate one. No parking is allowed until 19:00 – Monday to Saturday. After 19:00 (and all day on Sundays) vehicles can park along Chiswick High Road. Therefore if a temporary stop was located here buses would not be able to serve the stop and pick up or drop off passengers safely; passengers would be getting off in the middle of the road as the bus could not serve the kerb.' Ive asked LBH Traffic Dept to initiate a temporary parking ban to accommodate a temp bus stop. Not too difficult. J |
