| I am trying to avoid using the car for short journeys for all the usual reasons - and especially to avoid the draconian parking limits. The E3 works very well for me, passing close to my home in GP and going close to most of my usual haunts in/off CHR/TGT. However, for the last 4 weeks (approx.) - and I am not exaggerating - the westbound stop outside the Police station has been closed for road works. This means that there is no stop in that direction between TGT and TG opposite Sainsburys. Several questions occur to me; why is it necessary for the works (which appear to be relatively simple) to last for such a long time? Gives that, why have TfL not made arrangements for an alternative stop nearby? And when will the damn things finish? |
