"Muzzling works. It would reduce dog bites by a huge percentage. As soon as an MP's child gets attacked we will have it in a heartbeat. You will see." Lib Dem Stephen Gilbert was bitten by a dog when he put his hand through a letterbox in April 2015 and 1 in 4 Politicians have been bitten or chased by a dog - but not a word about muzzling from any of them - so I guess I won't see. All dogs are NOT dangerous and its a preposterous suggestion that over 9 million dogs should be muzzled. Its rather like saying that if a convicted male, afro Caribbean aged 20 - 30 criminal has to wear an electronic tag, that ALL afro Caribbean 20-30 men should wear a tag. There are very few bad dogs just too many bad and irresponsible owners - tackle the problem at source not the symptoms! Because muzzles do not train a dog. Can anyone imagine living in the UK where over 9 million dogs are muzzled - it would be a scary place. 24% of all UK households have a dog across all socio-economic groups - perhaps you could get HRH The Queen to muzzle her Corgies and gun dogs to set an example??? I'll tell you what Dan, if The Queen sets an example and muzzles her dogs Fifi and Barney will wear muzzles when they are in public! Have a lovely day ;) |
