Cutting down these five trees seems to be totally unnecessary at this stage of the proposed development - residents need council permission to prune trees in their gardens so how could this happen?
Surely the site did not need to have these trees felled until Lend Lease have received the go ahead for this project - no doubt it will be years not months before the promised replacements are planted and even then will not be the same size.
Perhaps Lend Lease are trying to make the area so unattractive that even their new "luxury" development will seem preferable to the wasteland they will have created! |
