Well, Will, I suspect we will never know but apparently he has proferred his opinions on badger killing - he is in favour and it is going ahead, education methods (clearly as having been a classroom teacher he is highly qualified) and property among other things - eg Charles and the Chelsea Barracks development - see http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10282415 Personally I agree with him on some things and disagree violently on others, but the role of the monarchy, to which his mother has adhered to in my opinion admirably, has been to not intervene with politics. He is not elected, has a view of life from a position which is totally alien to most of the population, and I think he should stick to signing documents prepared by those we have elected and representing our country (silently for the most part) on official state occasions. As for his hypocrisy in pretending he cares about wildlife while he goes shooting for fun (William and Harry too) - don't get me started on that. |
