| Nobody fixes anything any more. In days gone by if a window was broken there would be a site manager or buildings supervisor, who would send someone to fix it. Usually the same day, just like we would all do at home. Today, all anyone ever does is put a notice on it saying "we know it's broken". How many times do we see this in public facilities? "We apologise that this facility is out of order. We are doing everything we can (or "working hard" ha ha) to get it working again" (no you're not, you could have fixed it instead of sticking that stupid label on it) Instead of fixing potholes, the council just sprays coloured circles around them. |
