Try Euonymus Fortunei Emerald n' Gold. Flowers are insignificant but the foliage is dense and colourful. Needs tying in to reach about 6ft. Perhaps grow flowers in pots and place in front of the climber? I've also grown Leucothoe - one of the scarlet leaved varieties and it grew well in shade. Very slow growing though and again insignificant flowers. |
