If all you want is a straightforward router get onto your broadband supplier, they should give you a free one. That will be good enough for most uses. If however you want something more specialist, want the latest tech features or have a very big house so need extra range then you can get a good one from about 70 - depends on what you need. Here's a good article that explains the basics and offers recommendations at all price points. You won't go far wrong with any of these. If you feel that these are too complex and you wouldn't use the extra capabilities then stick with a new - free - one from your ISP.
