:))). Here we go again with the rubbish. It's likelly that the recycling bin for mechanical sorting will be for basics only eg no textiles or electricals which you will be expected to take to somewhere but a lot of people won't so they'll just go in the other bin and a lot of people will just put everything in both bins. In Hounslow we can put all metals in the green box ( although it doesn't say so ) Saucepans, baking trays, coat hangers, brass , copper etc are collected by Sita for scrap metal. Heavy stuff helps with the recycling percentage when it goes over the weigh bridge and of course saves resources. I have to put mine under the blue paper bag so that it can't be seen by scrap metal dealers before Sita get to it. There's supposed to be a council meeting now that the elections over for questions to be answered. Over 40 of them! |
