The Red Arrows are due to fly over Horse Guards at 1pm on Sunday, coming in via Basildon / east London. They then fly down the middle of St James's Park towards Kensington and at some point turn "right" for Watford. The route is roughly the same but a little to the south east as on Trooping The Colour / Queen's Birthday which has seen them continue over Turnham Green. BUT more usually they turn away long before reaching W4. As far as I can tell - and I may be wrong - the Spitfire and Hurricane are not scheduled to overfly Horse Guards until 1:15pm. I've seen mention of Wycombe and Wokingham as part of the "transit" route in to London for the RAF BBMF (now, as already stated, comprised of two aircraft) but have not been able to work out if they will actually fly over Horse Guards in the same direction as the Red Arrows. Perhaps one of the resident forum experts can help? The Queen's Birthday flypast is on Saturday June 13 and while a Chiswick sight of the Red Arrows is never guaranteed, elements of the wider jet formation always soar over North Chiswick / North Bedford Park on their route North West out of London. |
