Michael Brown suggested: " It would be too obvious for one Western country to invade each and every other, and most wouldn’t have the resources; plus the elitist group orchestrating this are probably from a number of countries. " ... But why ? Where's the need for an elitist group at all ? Like it or not, as a result of being able to exploit the Native American population in the 19th century, basically by expropriating their traditional lands, and exporting cotton picked by slave labour, having got over its Civil War and having avoided the destruction, but rather benefited, from the Two World Wars, the US became the strongest power in the world. Also helped by always having had the largest single home market for manufactured goods. Thus benefiting from economies of scale. So why would the USA ever need or want to join any elite group with anyone else ? The USA promotes regime change in the Middle East simply in order to maintain supplies of cheap oil - as any superpower worthy of the name would do, and to prevent the Chinese from muscling in on the area. The Middle East has been the plaything of one Western power or another - with lines drawn on maps and regimes installed and changes being made ever since the break up of the Ottoman Empire at the end of World War One. So nothing new there then. Basically whether anyone else - any other members of this so-called "Western Elite" agree with the US about this is largely irrelevant. The US as with all superpowers, will do what's in its own best interests, not in anyone else's. End of story I'm afraid. Basically what happened Michael is that some policy wonk in either the US State Department or a right wing think tank drew up a paper outlining various foreign policy scenarios for the US - titled a New World Order. Some US based conspiracy enthusiast got hold of this - it was probably in the public domain but buried within masses of similar material and turned it into a conspiracy. Its easy to tell its US based Michael, because rather than face up to the fact that their country was founded on genocide and slavery, and are the world number one bully at present, the more simple minded Americans would much rather believe that their country is only part of an elite group. michael adams ... |
