More likely the biker was being 'followed' by police (they are not allowed to pursue bikers anymore)and he lost control of the machine. That would explain why so many police vehicles appeared shortly after the loud bang.It is unusual these days for bikes being followed by police vehicles to crash. If a bike is being followed, and refuses to stop, the police will follow it and give a running commentary on the radio of what is happening, and where they are.Every pursuit will be monitored at HQ and if it sounds like the biker is starting to take risks, the supervisor will order the following police cars to disengage the pursuit and let the biker go.They will then arrest the rider at a later date. |
