Whatever the post code the catchment area for support for the four clubs is very similar.

There are two ways to get new supporters - success or by getting the next generation of fan to attend games. QPR are failing on both scores. The problem they have is that they have a small capacity that they can fill easily so ticket prices are invariably quite high and the games often sell out. I used to wander up to Loftus Road close to kick off and buy a restricted view seat for a tenner but haven't been for years.

Brentford on the other hand have been cultivating young fans by an active community coaching programme and cheap tickets for youngsters so parents who have moved to the area and don't have a commitment to a local club tend to take their kids to Brentford. I don't think it will take long for the different approaches to be reflected in a shift in the size of the fanbase of each club.
