Loraine, I think you are, understandably in the circumstances, being a bit over-sensitive. Everyone who has posted is clearly concerned for Barney and dogs that use Turnham Green in general. The suggestion of muzzling hasn't been done by anyone in a wise-after-the-event fashion. Whether you believe a deliberate poisoner, discarded food or a naturally occurring plant or mushroom is responsible there are two ways to keep a dog absolutely safe on a place with elevated risk such as Turnham Green - keeping it on the lead or muzzling. People point this out not to imply that is what you should have done but because, given your experience, it may now be an important consideration for other dog owners. |
