I fail to see how anyone could rationally object to Sally Chacatte's plans. We are not talking about Regents Park here. The community centre would be on a ugly scrap of land which offers no real current amenity. The social value of a youth centre here is self-evident and that it would be situated in a park area makes it an even more attractive proposition. The ship has sailed on Carlton Road unfortunately so that is not a viable alternative. |
