Paul, only 3,000 of the 19,000 weekday Turnham Green passengers are coming into the station before 9 in the morning, and only a fraction of those would be likely to have such a strict daily starting time. For everyone else, including commuters on the way home, it's the average journey time that's the relevant measure. TfL have stated very consistently that the numbers for a stop don't add up and I don't see your argument coming close to overturning their sums. It's going to take a pretty comprehensive reshaping of travel patterns to justify a stop (e.g. the PiccaDist reconfiguration mentioned earlier in the thread), and only then once the engineering allows it, whatever our local politicians might claim. |
